The larger end is female without a gasket to fit over T-pieces and bends. The small end is male with a double gasket to slip into spiral ducts.
This reducer helps to save installation space, but it increases the flow resistance compared to long reducers. Standard nominal diameters up to DN 315 mm are available for pressed pieces at a lower price and with an improved finish.
