Insulation and Pre-Insulated Ducting

Pre-insulated ducting and insulation materials. Ubbink Aerfoam insulated foam duct in 125mm, 160mm, 180mm and 200mm with matching 45° and 90° bends and connectors, alongside Armaflex-lagged steel bends, Armaflex sheet and tape, foil tape and foil-faced mineral wool ductwrap.

Insulation is not optional on an MVHR system. Any duct carrying cold air through a warm space — the intake and exhaust runs through a loft or a service void — will form condensation on its outside surface without it. That is how you end up with stained ceilings and a warranty claim two winters after handover.

Aerfoam removes a step on site: it arrives insulated, cuts cleanly to length and pushes together, so there are no gaps where someone ran out of lagging. It suits ASHP pipework runs as well as MVHR.
