Ease 200 MVHR Unit 4/0 LH

The Brink Ease 200 is a compact heat recovery unit for apartments, smaller houses and retrofit work, where there is rarely a plant cupboard to spare. At 560 × 660 × 315mm it is only 315mm deep, so it will sit in a utility cupboard, a kitchen unit or a boxed-in riser, and it weighs around 17kg.

It handles up to 200 m³/h with 125mm spigots, all four connections on the top. This is the left-hand version: the supply and extract connections to the dwelling are on the left as you face the unit. Handing is set at manufacture and cannot be changed afterwards, so check it against your layout before ordering.

What you get

• 87% heat recovery from a high-efficiency plate exchanger, tested to EN 13141-7.
• Constant volume control. EC fans with anemometers hold the commissioned flow rates as the filters load, rather than letting them drift down between services.
• Integrated summer bypass, which takes the exchanger out of circuit when outdoor air is cooler than indoor.
• Intelligent frost protection, keeping the unit running through cold spells without a pre-heater in most UK installations.
• 0.15 W/m³/h specific fan power, which gives you headroom against the SFP limits in Approved Document F.
• Expandable control. CO₂, humidity and VOC sensors over 0–10V, and Brink Home or Air Control for app operation.

Where it fits

The Ease 200 is the economical option in the Brink range. It does the job properly but without the touchscreen and the wider control options of the Flair. If you are ventilating a flat or a two to three bedroom house and the design flow rate sits comfortably under 200 m³/h, it is usually the sensible choice. For anything larger, or where you want the full control set, look at the Flair range.

It needs a condensate drain. The enthalpy version of this unit does not — see the Ease 200 Enthalpy if a drain would be awkward to run.
